Buchu leaves, also known as Agathosma betulina, are a key ingredient in the production of Buchu brandy, a uniquely South African spirit with a long history and tradition. These aromatic leaves are native to the Western Cape region of South Africa and have been used for centuries by indigenous tribes for their medicinal properties.

Buchu brandy is made by infusing brandy with the leaves of the buchu plant, which gives the spirit its distinctive herbal flavor and aroma. The leaves are carefully selected and then directly infused in brandy for several weeks to extract their aroma.
