First, we introduce you to a traditional Bolivian hot toddy known as "Te con Te" (Tea with Tea). This simple yet delightful drink combines the unique flavors of brandy with spiced tea and a touch of brown sugar. It's a beloved classic that embodies the warmth and hospitality of Bolivian culture.
Next, we have "The Dorian Grey," a sophisticated twist on the hot toddy from San Francisco. Ingredients for One Serving:
- 45 ml brandy
- 7 ml brown sugar syrup
- 105 ml dark, spiced tea
- Lime wedge for garnish
Instructions:
- In a heatproof glass or mug, combine the brandy and brown sugar syrup.
- Pour in the dark, spiced tea.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.

The Dorian Grey Hot Toddy
Ingredients for One Serving:
- 45 ml cognac
- 30 ml Earl Grey syrup
- 60 ml hot water
- Cinnamon stick and star anise for garnish
Instructions:

Batching Earl Grey Syrup
Ingredients:
- 720 ml water
- 10 Earl Grey tea bags
- 960 g sugar
Instructions:
- Bring the water to a boil in a medium-sized pot.
- Add the Earl Grey tea bags and sugar.
- Boil for 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Cover and let it cool to room temperature.
- Remove the tea bags and transfer the syrup to a refrigerator-safe container.
- Refrigerate until needed.
