Date Liqueur Recipe

  • 500g pitted dates
  • 750ml neutral spirit (vodka or grain alcohol)
  • 250ml Invert Sugar


  1. Place the pitted dates in a clean glass jar or container.
  2. Pour the neutral spirit over the dates, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  3. Seal the jar tightly and store it in a cool, dark place for 5 days to allow the dates to infuse into the spirit.
  4. After 5 days, strain the infused spirit through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the dates.
  5. Add the sugar syrup (Invert Sugar) to the infused date spirit and stir to combine.
  6. Transfer the liqueur to a clean glass bottle or jar for storage.
  7. Seal the bottle tightly and store it in a cool, dark place for at least 1 week to allow the flavors to meld together.
  8. Enjoy your homemade date liqueur on its own, over ice, or use it in cocktails and desserts for a deliciously sweet and fruity flavor.
