Chocolate Date Liqueur Balls Recipe

How do I make Chocolate Date Liqueur Balls?


  • 1 pack of Vanilla Wafers (Crush as fine as possible)
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of Chopped Toasted Pecan Nuts
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) of Icing Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Date Liqueur
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Golden Syrup
  • Coconut flakes for Dusting


  1. Stir together the Crushed Vanilla Wafers, Chopped Toasted Pecan Nuts, Icing Sugar and Unsweetened Cocoa in a large bowl until well blended.
  2. Stir Date Liqueur and Golden Syrup together until well blended. 
  3. Add Date Liqueur mixture to the Wafer mixture, and fold in until it has an even consistency.
  4. Shape into 25 mm diameter balls.
  5. Roll in Coconut Flakes until lightly dusted.
  6. Cover and chill.
  7. Should last up to 2 weeks.
