Welcome to the wonderful world of distillation where Science, Art and Passion comes together to form unique and exciting products.

The maturation of distilled products is a crucial part of the art and science. In South-Africa, strict rules should be adhered to when producing these products.

The ageing and wooding of distilled products is a complex process based on the interaction of molecules extracted from the wood used. Wood contributes about 60% of the aromatic compounds present in aged and matured wooded distilled products.

Great gift

The Oaking kit was a great gift for my dad's birthday. He's excited to try all the different oaks in his brew. Perhaps he'll find a new favorite, and we can easily order from Distillique. Ordering process was quick and easy, and I was very surprised how fast the delivery was. Thank you Distillique.

Wood maturation experiments

Was intrigued by this little experiment kit. Ideal for determining a taste profile one desires - the wood chips and blocks can be extra toasted to aid in small bottle experiments before going down the route of wooden cask maturation - type of wood and cask finish i.e. French or American oak and you can determine your toasting level based on the experiment - light, medium or heavy toast.
The additives, approach with caution - ideal for own use, but can ruin your spirit if you add a drop too much. Measure twice, cut once scenario.
