Yeast nutrients are essential to provide yeast with minerals vitamins and other nutrients to support yeast growth and activity during fermentation.
In pure sugar washes no nutrients are available for the yeast to thrive and they will quickly die off and leave you with a stuck fermentation. Adding yeast nutrient to low nutritional washes will allow the yeast to grow and provide superior fermentation results.
