Yeast activator is used during the rehydration process of yeast to enhance yeast cell wall thickness and growth to withstand the osmotic shock of yeasts in a high sugar content mash as used by distillers.
Dissolve 15g yeast activator in 150ml of water at 35 degree C. Add 15g distillers yeast and stirr to break up clumps.
Leave for 15minutes and add to 20L sugar wash.
