How do I make Chocolate Bourbon Balls?


  • 1 pack of Vanilla Wafers (Crush as fine as possible)
  • 1 cup (250 ml) of Chopped Toasted Pecan Nuts
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) of Icing Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Bourbon
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Golden Syrup
  • Additional Icing Sugar for Dusting


  1. Stir together the Crushed Vanilla Wafers, Chopped Toasted Pecan Nuts, Icing Sugar and Unsweetened Cocoa in a large bowl until well blended.
  2. Stir Bourbon and Golden Syrup together until well blended. 
  3. Add Bourbon mixture to the Wafer mixture, and fold in until it has an even consistency.
  4. Shape into 25 mm diameter balls.
  5. Roll in Icing Sugar until lightly dusted.
  6. Cover and chill.
  7. Should last up to 2 weeks.
