Raw Material Processing

Distillique does not only sell Distillation Equipment.

Very few, if any, Raw Material Sources are ready to use as-is for Fermentation and later Distillation. They all require some form of Processing prior to Fermentation.

Our Raw Material Processing Equipment fulfills this function.

What Type of Raw Material Processing Equipment do I need?

Different types of Raw Materials are processed in different ways.

1. Grains require Milling in order to expose the interior for Starch Extraction and later Starch Conversion
2. Fruit requires Pressing or ideally Juicing in order to extract the Fruit Juice which contains the Sugars needed for Fermentation
3. Sugar Cane requires Pressing in order to obtain the Cane Juice which contains our Fermentable Sugars
4. Vegetables were traditionally Minced, but on the Craft Level they are Juiced prior to Starch Conversion
5. Molasses and Honey requires Dilution - ideally in a Heated Tank - to reduce the Brix Percentage prior to Fermentation
6. Water is usually and ideally used as is, but in some cases, due to excessive Chlorine, Metals, or Mineral, filtration, deionizing (demineralization), or softening prior to use is required
