Bottling
At the end of the entire Spirit Production process, on last step remains.
We need to put a Product on the market, and as such, that Product requires Bottling.
What Equipment do I need to Bottle Spirits?
As much as we might wish it to be simple, there are more steps in the Bottling Process than most people are aware of.
- 1. Bottles need to be washed or rinsed prior to filling to remove debris and dirt from them, hence we need a Bottle Rinser
- 2. Although Bottle Filling by hand might seem very "Crafty", it soon becomes a bottleneck to production (pun intended). Bottles need to be filled either by Volume or by Level using a Bottle Filler.
- 3. Closures need to be applied. If these are normal Bartop Closures it can be done by hand, hence no special equipment is needed. But if they are ROPP (Roll-On Pilfer Proof) Closures, otherwise known as Screw-tops, you will require a ROPP Capper.
- 4. If not using a ROPP Capper, there is still a legal requirement that Closures are Pilfer Proof. Shrink Wrap Seals or Wax will then be needed to comply, so you will need either a Heat Shrink Gun or a Wax Melting Pot.
- 5. Labels need to be applied and depending on the type of Bottle you choose to use, you might need a Round Bottle Labeller or a Flat Bottle Labeler. If you are however using a more intricate or abnormal bottle shape, you might be limited to Hand Labeling.
- 6. Our final requirement is space - space to Bottle and Label - ideally enough that a single person can work efficiently without having to take one bottle at a time through the entire process, hence Bottling Tables provide stable workspaces, easy to clean, and heavy-duty.
Other additional pieces of Equipment may be required from time to time, depending on Layout and Operations.
Does Distillique sell Bottling Equipment for Non-Spirit Products?
Some of Distillique's Bottling Equipment is already multi-purpose, while others, like our Plastic Screw Cap Capper, are aimed at the Bottled Water and Juice market.
Distillique also stocks a range of fillers for alternative containers, like Jar Fillers, Wide-Neck Bottle Fillers, Long Neck Bottle Fillers, Small Bottle Fillers, Miniature Bottle Fillers, and Beer Bottle Fillers.
